3 l’il 1st year advertising interns at some small, crazy agency in Sweden decided to pitch on the Adidas global account.
since it’s a recession, there have been loads of stories going around about how agencies are hitting below the belt and secretly pitching on other agencies’ business. guess it was a matter of time before someone came up with a way to do this sneaky vibe commercially. i understand – y’ulle gotta do what you can to survive these harsh economic times, but pretending your sneakpitch is a ‘project for your interns’ is pretty bleak.
to be fair, it might not be a disguised stealth operation, and maybe these 3 l’il bears are just rly ambitious. i read that their CD told them to do it, but i feel like at the age of 22 you should be past the whole blame game and should start owning up to your actions / decisions / choices / lifepathcareergoals / giving your best girl friend herpes when you kissed that one night when you were drunk and it was a dare. guess pitching on Adidas global is bigger than all that / sets a very unhealthy ‘millenial entitlement’ extravaganza precedent. ambition doesn’t quite describe this vibe.
Interns have loads of great, catchy ideas. Why shouldn't they 'go real life' asap?
i thought i was ambitious by wanting to make the Creative Circle Hall of Fame by 26 but now i just feel average. think i’ll take up smoking again and just ‘wait for death’.
Started making a poll and then i lost interest, so here's a picture of what it would have looked like.
